Press Release

Game publishers Activision Value, Brighter Child, Eidos and Wildtangent tap Trymedia Systems to digitally distribute games

May 13, 2004. Los Angeles, CA (Electronic Entertainment Expo).

Growth of downloadable game offerings means variety,
choice for consumers

Game publishers Activision Value Publishing, Brighter Child Interactive, Eidos and WildTangent are among the latest companies to sign with Trymedia Systems, a digital distribution technology and services provider. Trymedia and its publisher customers are greatly increasing the variety and number of games available for download with options like Singles: Flirt up your Life and Apache AH-64 Air Assault among many others.

“The majority of top-tier game publishers use Trymedia for downloadable game distribution. A large catalog of ActiveMARK game titles makes for a great deal of consumer choice today,” remarked Gabe Zichermann, Trymedia’s VP of Strategy and Communications. “When it comes to digital distribution, we offer the strongest set of features for both the end-user and business customer.”

In addition to the above named companies, GameBubbles and WebAppsToGo.com are also distributing game content using Trymedia’s ActiveMARK technology and via the Trymedia Distribution Network. Games and software using ActiveMARK offer consumers the ability to easily backup content, use titles on multiple computers and share games with friends. Shared titles revert to trial mode creating the potential for viral revenue for the publisher and an opportunity for the consumer to own the product upon completion of the trial. The ActiveMARK technology suite may be used by software developers and publishers to distribute games in both downloadable and CD/DVD formats.

In addition to Apache AH-64 Air Assault, Activision Value plans to make Ski Resort Tycoon, Snowboarding Championships 2004, Snowboarding Park Tycoon and Tough Trucks: Modified Monsters, among several other titles, available through Trymedia’s Distribution Network of more than 3,000 affiliates worldwide. Brighter Child Interactive plans to add as many as 30 downloadable children’s educational titles ranging from Spy Kids and Garfield to such trusted PBS brands as Caillou and Zoboomafo, to the Network. Eidos will digitally distribute the M-rated game Singles: Flirt up your Life. GameBubbles has signed on for Dice Jam, Word Jolt, Cookie Chef, Slickball, Gravity Gems and Snowmotion. WebAppsToGo will digitally distribute 3D Breakout and WildTangent plans to make Polar Bowler, Blasterball 2: Revolution, Bounce Symphony and others available through Trymedia’s Distribution Network.
