June 9, 2004. San Francisco, CA.
Growing Digital Distribution Technology and Services Company
Makes Executive Hires
Secure digital distribution experts Trymedia Systems today underscored the growth of the company’s
market share in the games and entertainment software industry by announcing their move to larger
headquarters in San Francisco and the hiring of several new executives. Additionally, the company
has opened an office in London.
Trymedia’s recent executive hires include Ron Bouganim as Director, Corporate Development;
Emma Morris as Director, International Business Relations; and Steven
Peterson as VP, Finance.
“We’ve built a reputation for being experts in downloadable game distribution.
Now our ActiveMARK technology suite simultaneously addresses piracy and other distribution
challenges for CD/DVD formats – so we are able to more broadly serve software developers
and publishers,” said Gabe Zichermann, Trymedia’s VP of Strategy & Communications. “As
our customer base grew, we were literally busting out of our previous space.”
Ron Bouganim, Director, Corporate Development
Bouganim’s responsibilities at Trymedia will include strategic partnering and the ongoing
analysis of untapped market opportunities. He hails from Oneworld, a digital distributor
of software and games focused on the Spanish and Portuguese markets, which he co-founded.
He has over ten years of experience in the venture capital, telecommunications and digital
rights management industries. Bouganim’s previous entrepreneurial ventures include
a startup data communications carrier that grew to $50 Million in revenues and operations
in ten countries.
Emma Morris, Director, International Business Relations
Morris is serving as a liaison with Trymedia’s European customers and Distribution
Network affiliates in her new position. In addition she will oversee the London office. Morris
was most recently Head of PR, Marketing and Distribution at Softwrap, also a digital distribution
company. She previously held other positions within that same company. Before entering the
digital distribution business, she was a Senior Conference and Banqueting Manager at the
five-star Le Meridien Grosvenor House property in London.
Steven Peterson, VP, Finance
In recent years, Peterson managed the financial affairs for GST Telecom Internet Division,
Vitallink Business Systems and Fast Track Litigation Support. Previously he successfully
co-launched an internet service provider, Whole Earth Networks, which grew to one of the
Bay Area’s largest ISPs before selling to a public telecom company. Peterson also
enjoyed a fourteen year career at Capital Cities/ABC (Disney) and News Corporation where
