ActiveMARK Packaging Tools enable developers and publishers to create secure versions of their
games for physical and digital distribution. The Packaging Tools allow you to apply
a wide range of trial criteria and business rules to executables and to embed HTML interface
pages.
You may also use the ActiveMARK Packaging Tools to distribute demo/beta products to the media
and beta-testers by enforcing an expiration date without the option to purchase. This option
allows you to prevent the unauthorized leak of non-commercial builds
The Packaging Tools are available in two versions:
- Standard Edition: Standard Edition (PTSE) includes an intuitive 3-step
wizard to enable even the most junior developer/QA person to package content securely for
distribution. PTSE allows basic trial criteria (time, executions, dates and any combination
thereof) and supports product activation and online distribution, all in 6 different languages.
- The Packaging Tools Professional Edition (PTPE) adds a command-line
application, an ActiveMARK SDK for more sophisticated trial criteria, customized authentication
(such as for MMOs) and custom installer support. PTSE can be easily integrated into your
build/QA process, providing superior content protection, leak elimination and end-user
satisfaction with only minutes of effort.
Both the PTSE and PTPE enables developers to package content once for both physical (CD/DVD) and digital
distribution and do not require source code integration.
Additionally, Trymedia offers a Packaging Service if you require an outsourced solution.
